This article argues that Ethiopia’s modern challenges can be overcome by mobilising the strength and fortitude used to defeat Italy’s colonial ambitions once upon a time. Allo argued that if Ethiopians are able to look back at their “finest hour” as a unified nation and remember how they defeated a seemingly superior military power collectively, they can surmount any discord and division that is threatening to destabilise their country.
